SUMMER IS HERE
Id. I forget my thought at those words. We have adventures, travel, excitement, sunshine and lots of books to come.
I'm already heading out on the first adventure of the officially opened summer season and I wanted to tell you a little bit more about how I prepare my luggage. Yeah, but we're talking about books here, I'm not going to take a picture of my new dress and my sunscreen factor (although it's important!), but I'm going to text you a peculiar one: how I pack, for readers[i].

So, now to the point. We've already talked to you quite a bit about our May and June travel and summer reading books. So I'm in a hurry to get a few ready: "Come Tell Me How You Live" by Agatha Krsisty, for inspiration for real adventures in exotic, historical places; "Journey to Yourself" by Blaga Dimitrova, because I'm reading it heavily right now and it reminds me of summers a dozen years ago, full of emotion and youthful searching and discovering of yourself; and "How to Travel with Salmon" by Umberto Eco, because I always need a laugh and a philosophical look at life with a twist of irony. I also picked up the May issue of Culture magazine, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of Radoy Ralin, from the Spring Book Fair.

Well, that's it with the backbone of my reading holiday, time for the accessories. First a summer "dress" for books - a binding in sunny colors, because this is going to be a trip in suburban conditions and strong sun. Reading glasses and sunglasses next, because reading hygiene is just as important as hand hygiene during a pandemic. Especially if you're a regular reader. An adventurous thermal water bottle that holds the temperature of hot and cold drinks + a soft hair squeaker. I think choosing a life as an active reader in all conditions requires taking good care of yourself. Yes, that's always a must, but most of you know that dedicated readers have a tendency to get wrapped up in the book and leave the rest in the background. And reading is a holistic process that encompasses more than just our eyes and brains, without us realizing it, all of our senses are involved. They don't stop working while we read, our body continues to interact with the outside world and (often) without us realising it, all the external factors influence the reading of our favourite book.

Two colorful summer dividers, a coffee mug and a summer hat are mostly for cheer. The pinch of salt we put in the pastry.
Well, this is the basic luggage I prepare for a good holiday and car trip. Soon I'll show you the slightly different contents of my suitcase when travelling by plane.
Happy summer!
[i] BUT for a car trip where I have the opportunity to go wild on luggage.
