"I would trust my life to Hagrid" - Albus Dumbledore

Like his plumpness, with so many pockets, Hagrit has more qualities than one might notice at first glance. We also dedicate this article to Robbie Coltrane, the actor who played and created the character of Rubious Hagrid.

Most of us think we know Hagrid very well, especially considering how many times Harry, Ron and Harrymani have popped over to his house for a cup of tea and advice, but we'll try to surprise you with a few facts about him you might not know. Sure, we know (a little) about his pink umbrella , his love of all (literally all) animals, and his ability to see the best in people, but Hagrid has many more layers to all of this. So, to reacquaint ourselves with the various aspects of the Hogwarts Keeper of the Keys, here are some facts you might not know about Hagrid.

1. Hagrid is allergic to cats. In the very first part, he tells Harry that he got him an owl because he sneezes when there's a cat around.
2. J. К. Rowling based Hagrid's character on a real biker. The actor Coltrane himself tells how Rowling told him about the biker who was huge and rude, but at the same time comes to you sits down and tells you about his garden and how his petunias were bad that year.
3. Hagrid is a Gryffindor
4. He can't cast chuck - Rowling was asked on Twitter what Hagrid's chuck was, and she had replied that it was a complicated spell that he couldn't do. In the books, it's often mentioned that not every wizard is able to summon a patronus, and this is usually considered a mark of superior magical abilities.
5. Hagrid had a rough childhood. When he was three, his mother, the giantess Fridwulf, returned to her giant colony, leaving him to be raised by his father alone. Despite their size differences, he had a strong bond with his wizard father. However, his father sadly passed away when Hagrid was a second year at Hogwarts.
6. Stunning spells didn't work on Rubias Hagrid. This was most likely due to his large size and the fact that he was a half-giant.
7. When Voldemort takes over the Ministry of Magic, Hagrid throws a "Support Harry Potter" party at his hut. Hagrid's loyalty has never had limits.
8. He was in the original Order of the Phoenix. As we know, Dumbledore always trusted Hagrid - that's why he sent him to get you know what from Vault 713. In fact, by this point Hagrid was probably used to getting orders from Dumbledore because Hagrid was actually part of the original Order of the Phoenix. We can see him in the picture of the original Order in the movie version of Order of the Phoenix and Dumbledore even trusted Hagrid to go and get Harry from Godric Hollow after Voldemort's fall and his parents' deaths.
9. J.K. Rowling had planned exactly for Hagrid to take Harry's body and lead him out of the Forbidden Forest at the end of Deathly Hallows. According to her, this is symbolic because in the beginning it is Hagrid who carries Harry like he is a baby in his arms.
10. His Pink Umbrella - When Hagrid is expelled from Hogwarts his wand is broken, but he keeps the pieces. The pieces of Hagrid's broken wand are encased in the pink umbrella as we see when he points it at Dudley to give him a pig tail. Of course, Hagrid never finished his education, so he doesn't have the knowledge to do much magic, and the broken wand doesn't work as well as a whole one. In Mr. Ollivander's notes on wooden wands, he states that wands made of oak are attracted to witches or wizards who have "strength, courage, and fidelity." Individuals with oak wands tend to have an affinity for the natural world, which Hagrid describes perfectly

There is much more we could say about the great Rubius Hagrid, who left an important mark on the world of magic. And thanks to actor Robbie Coltrane, the image of Hagrid, brings so much warmth. We are grateful for the wonderful emotion, grateful that this man rode us on his flying motorcycle, among the pages of the world of magic.
