We book dragons from @booksy0 we are always here to talk about our favorite books, what impressed us about them, but also to introduce you to every holiday celebrated in our country and around the world related to them. Today, 11.05. is celebrated the church feast of the Slavic enlighteners St. St.. Cyril and Methodius, but it is also the professional holiday of librarians in Bulgaria.

Librarians Day has been celebrated since 2006. Librarianship is not just a profession. For so many libraries in our country to have flourished to this day, they must have custodians who carry knowledge into eternity. Books are undoubtedly the most precious thing for a nation. They are history, infinite knowledge and healers of the dua of man. That is why those brave warriors who guard the dusty bookshelves in the great halls are the people we have to thank today. A significant date in the calendar of Bulgarian culture, on which librarians have the difficult task of not only preserving but succeeding in captivating today's readers and conveying the vast universe of books. Quite a few of the libraries in the country have an event called "Open Day" on this day and one can visit the libraries in their city and why not in the neighbouring one for free. Let's not forget about the countless dusty shelves between which are hidden countless tomes we don't even suspect. Let's embark on 24 hours of reading in the buildings of peace and quiet, where you are alone with a book in your hand, where time stands still and magic comes out of the pages and transports you to new worlds, where the story captivates you and you don't notice that there is another person next to you on the couch.

Poetry is coming out of the city. The "Read Sofia" Foundation organizes a literary tour, and the poet Yordan Eftomov will be the host. The route will traditionally start on May 11, at 18:30, and its starting point will be at 18. "G.S.Rakovski" 134. Each tour will fascinate readers and will happen one time. The literary route this year will take place in May, July and September. In May, the poetry anthology "Hidden Letters" will be featured at One Book Bookstore on Ill. "8 Vrbnitsa Street. We encourage you to visit the bookstore from May 11-20 to experience a different kind of inspiration.
Happy professional holiday, guardians. Keep growing our story and inspiring the little guy to reach the last shelf.
